The Man Behind the Code

A completely transparent look into the experiences, philosophies, and recreational passions that shaped my character outside of software engineering.

My Journey

Hometown to Big City

Hometown to Big City

I grew up and completed my schooling in Nagercoil, a peaceful town near the southern tip of India. Stepping out of my hometown for the very first time, I moved to Chennai for college. Living in a hostel was a massive transition—having to do everything on my own—but it was an incredible experience that gave me lifelong friends and shaped my independence.

The Government Exam Phase & Philosophy

The Government Exam Phase & Philosophy

After graduating, I dedicated a year to preparing for competitive government examinations. This phase unexpectedly became one of the most intellectually transformative periods of my life. I dove deeply into economics and sociology, and grasped the true importance of politics. I became a profound admirer of leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi. What inspires me most about Gandhi is his raw honesty; he admitted his early flaws and fears, ultimately transforming himself completely for the nation's sake when Gopal Krishna Gokhale urged him to lead. His mastery of non-violence was awe-inspiring—where movies often depict brute force as the only way to silence a crowd, this frail old man could stop violent riots simply by walking between the opposing sides and singing songs of peace. Simultaneously, Indira Gandhi's sheer bravery reshaped my worldview. When powerful global forces pressured her, she refused to bend, standing tall despite immense sanctions that caused famines. She revolutionized the nation through sheer will, pushing canal projects and leading the Green Revolution. Seeing how one woman transformed an entire nation remains deeply inspiring to me.

Discovering Sociology

Discovering Sociology

My absolute favorite subject has always been Social Sciences. I credit this passion to my school teacher, Mr. Simon. He had an incredible gift for teaching the subject in a fun, engaging manner that permanently sparked my curiosity. Naturally, I chose Sociology as my optional elective during my exam preparations. Learning about Émile Durkheim, 'Social Facts,' and observing how human societies transitioned across eras through Totemism, Naturism, Romanticism, and organized Religion captivated my imagination. Understanding this sociological evolution answered countless existential questions I had harbored my whole life.

Motorcycles, Mountains, & Movies

Motorcycles, Mountains, & Movies

Outside of intellectual pursuits, I'm an avid fan of hitting the gym, trekking, and exploring diverse cuisines. I started my riding journeys on a humble Bajaj Discover before upgrading to my beloved Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X. I have an immense passion for playing video games, weird horror movies, and ambitious Sci-Fi masterpieces that push the boundaries of human imagination—like the Terminator sequels and massive sprawling worlds like Game of Thrones. I'm a huge DC Comics fan, and in the realm of anime, 'Code Geass' holds the crown as my all-time favorite, primarily due to its intense philosophical ideologies.
